Yarmouth Fire Rescue

Yarmouth Fire Rescue is a combination department that responds to approximately 1500 calls for service a year. The department employs a Firefighter/Paramedic 24 hours a day to supplement its volunteer staff. This position has open time slots from 0600 - 1800 and 1800 - 0600.

Job Description:
Responds to fire and medical emergencies
Drives department apparatus as needed
Attends weekly trainings
May be required to teach EMS/Fire training programs

Required/Preferred Qualifications:
AVOC
ACLS
Maine EMT-P
Valid Maine Drivers License
PHTLS
PALS
12-lead EKG Training/Experience
Firefighter 1 & 2 Certification

The Sebasticook Valley Health team is looking for:

EMT - PARAMEDIC
Schedule: Per Diem , Variable shifts
Duties: The purpose of this position is to provide emergent care and transportation for patients, in a professional and competent manner.

Qualifications: High School graduate with one year experience. Current State of Maine EMS license and current State of Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record. Current BLS required. Ability to prioritize patients and organize appropriately, maintain professionalism under stressful conditions. Outstanding customer orientation and communication a must! Ability to work with other paramedics and EMTs.
