This class will provide you with the
information to start or fine tune your department honor guard.
Subjects to be covered include: Basic drill commands, Military standards and
formations, Marching, Flag etiquette, Color Guard movements and Uniforms. We
will also provide an overview of funeral details and guidelines. Each student
will receive a CD-Rom with all of the class materials.
This is a hands
on active class.
In order to graduate, each person must be able to: Demonstrate all maneuvers
including a flag and rifle carry.
Your instructor, Rob Simmons, FF-EMT-CC has a combination
of military and public safety backgrounds with over 30 years of field
experience. These include Military Drill Teams, Public Safety Honor Guards and
public safety instruction. (Make checks payable to SMEMS)
