| Moved to Maine from Connecticut with her
husband, Peter, in the summer of 1989. Previous experience in Accounting Department of several corporations for over ten years before taking a year off to focus on writing. Julia joined SMEMS in June of 1997 with no EMS knowledge; her learning curve has been rapid and is a key contributor to the overall operation at SMEMS

| Donnie is the Executive Director of SMEMS
and has served in this capacity since June of 1995. He has a B.A. in Political Science from St. Mary's University in Halifax. Donnie has over 20 years of experience in EMS from all aspects - volunteer service, paid service, administration and government. He served in the Maine Legislature from 1982-1994 Married with two children (Tara, Neil)
